Directly manage individuals and teams.  Coordinate construction crews and activities. Support the construction and project managers in the quality, safety, productivity, and performance of the construction team. Work closely with the Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Construction Manager, office staff, vendors and subcontractors to ensure the successful completion of construction projects.


Job Responsibilities:  

  • Organizes, supervises, and leads individuals and crews to complete projects.

  • Organizes construction crews and coordinates simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) when required.

  • Identifies, corrects, and documents unsafe behaviors and near misses.

  • Conduct safety activities and issue safety permit forms.

  • Assists in hiring and manages team members, performs performance reviews, and disciplines as appropriate.

  • Review and approve expense reports, time sheets, and other such employee items.

  • Performs inspections of in-progress work and identifies corrective actions.

  • Use mobile devices to document work in progress.

  • Assists the construction manager to ensure that project is carried out as designed.

  • Participates in constructability reviews.

  • Reads and follows plans, material lists and guidelines, and applies necessary timelines.

  • Review bill of materials and construction drawings for accuracy prior to construction.

  • Reads and interpret construction drawings and plans including P&IDs, General Arrangements, ISOs, Piping Plans, Civil Plans.

  • Organizes field generated documentation including JSAs, permits, and test reports.

  • Review bill of materials and construction drawings for accuracy prior to construction.

  • Track and complete punch list items throughout the construction phase to post-commissioning.

  • Maintains a clean and well-organized construction site, free of hazards and trash.

  • Ensure that daily reports and photos of construction progress are submitted.

  • Balances personnel resources across multiple projects.

  • Provides support, training, and resources for crews.

  • Assists Supply Chain with inventory control.

  • Work with Safety Coordinator to ensure that all team members are up to date on training requirements.


  • High school or GED equivalent required. Advanced degree is a plus.

  • Experience in supervising and directing field staff (required).

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred)

  • Five+ years’ experience in construction/project management experience (preferred)

  • Understands oil and gas production processes, facility operations, construction methods and mechanical principles.

  • Experience in Procore (preferred)

  • Knowledge of common oil field parts, materials and equipment.

  • Possesses exceptional interpersonal skills, focuses on collaborative solutions and positive working relationships.

  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Possesses strong leadership and supervisory abilities.

  • Provides excellent critical thinking and root cause analysis, for problem-solving, monitoring and troubleshooting.

  • Effective in time management, planning, scheduling and prioritizing multiple resource activities and concurrent projects to effectively meet deadlines.

  • Displays the ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain documentation under changing, intensive deadlines.

  • Working knowledge of construction codes and industry standards.

  • Understanding and application safety and heavy lift best practices.

  • Ability to read and understand engineer designs, schematics, diagrams and prints.

  • Exhibits strong computer skills and knowledge of relevant technology in using programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Procore (or similar construction/project management software) and Outlook.

  • Strong mobile device skills for field productivity.


This position may occasional require regional travel, meetings, and training, and possible overnight stays. The job may also involve participating on unscheduled call-outs and extended workdays and/or workweeks.
