Construction Foreman

Full Time (40hrs/wk)
Rotational Schedule Optional
Midland, TX

Summary: 

Directly supervise and coordinate onsite construction activities for upstream oil and gas production facilities and SWD facilities. Support the construction manager in controlling the quality, safety, and productivity performance of the construction team.     

 

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Participate in constructability reviews. 

  • Assist construction manager to ensure that project is carried out as designed. 

  • Read and follow plans, material lists and guidelines, and applies necessary timelines.  

  • Review bill of materials and construction drawings for accuracy prior to construction. 

  • Read and interpret construction drawings and plans including P&IDs, General Arrangements, ISOs, Piping Plans, and Civil Plans. 

  • Organize, supervise, and lead crews to complete projects. 

  • Organize construction crews and coordinates simultaneous operations (SIMOPS).  

  • Conduct safety activities and issue safety permit forms. 

  • Complete and organize field generated documentation including JSAs, permits, and test reports. 

  • Perform inspections of in-progress work and identifies corrective actions. 

  • Review bill of materials and construction drawings for accuracy prior to construction. 

  • Track and complete punch list items throughout the construction phase to post-commissioning. 

  • Identify, correct, and document unsafe behaviors and near misses. 

  • Maintain a clean and well-organized construction site free of hazards and trash. 

  • Submit daily reports and photos of construction progress. 

  • Balance resources across multiple projects. 

  • Pickup and deliver construction material. 

  • Provide support, training, and resources for crews. 

  • Assist Supply Chain with inventory control and tracking. 

 

Requirements:  

  • High school diploma or Equivalent  

  • Five years of experience in construction/project management (from concept to commissioning) 

  • Understands oil and gas production processes, facility operations, construction methods and mechanical principles 

  • Knowledge of common parts, materials and equipment 

  • Possesses exceptional interpersonal skills, focuses on collaborative solutions and positive working relationships 

  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Possesses strong leadership and supervisory abilities 

  • Provides excellent critical thinking and root cause analysis, for problem-solving, monitoring and troubleshooting 

  • Effective in time management, planning, scheduling and prioritizing multiple resource activities as well as concurrent projects to meet deadlines 

  • Displays the ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain documentation under changing, tight deadlines 

  • Working knowledge of construction codes and industry standards  

  • Understanding and application of safety and heavy lift best practices 

  • Ability to read and understand engineer designs, schematics, diagrams and prints 

  • Exhibits computer skills and knowledge of relevant technology in using programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Procore (or similar construction/project management software) and Outlook. 

Work Location:

Full time on construction sites near or around Pecos, Texas with regular travel between site and Midland, Texas.  

Travel: 

This position requires regional travel for project assignments, meetings, and training, and possible overnight stays. The job may also involve participating on unscheduled call-outs and extended workdays and/or workweeks. 

 

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • Subject to varying outdoor elements: heat, rain, and cold.  

  • Exposure to elevated noise. 

  • Physical ability to kneel, lift, pull and push, reach, crouch, stand, stoop, walk, talk and lift.
